By creating folders first, you'll be better prepared to keep your files organized later. If you already have a few folders with stuff in it, but a bunch of stuff that isn't, go ahead and follow it.Ĭreate folders called 'Build / Buy' and 'CAS'. This is especially true for people who don't have any folders in the Mods folder yet or who have created folders, but there is nothing in them. If you want to add more, just follow the same pattern. You should see something like this, but on one line: Right-click to open it using a simple text editing program, such as Notepad. In the Mods folder, there is a “Resource.cfg” file. The Mods folder will be generated inside the Sims 4 folder once you launch the game with mods enabled. The default path for your Sims 4 folder is in your Documents folder.
